This Website

I made the first thing resembling a website in 2008, back when MooTools and rounded corners on everything were the hottest things in web development. Web development was my introduction to programming, and remains (on most days) my favorite kind of programming.

I had long resisted larger JavaScript frameworks thinking that they would be too bloated for my purposes, which was probably true, but the direction and pace of web development are quite clear now. So, I committed to learning ReactJS in 2020, and it went fine. When I first got into it, I had already had a decent amount of vanilla JS and JQuery experience in addition to a web development baseline that comes with a hobbyist level knowledge of the LAMP stack. Three years later, the website you're browsing right is my first "complete" work that uses a "large scale" JS framework.
